American University Master in Finance

The American University Master in Finance program is one of three MSF options for those either working in the District of Columbia or looking to go to school there. I’ve seen the campus before and not only is it beautiful, but it is right in the middle of the city, near the National Cathedral.

This program is very convenient for those working or living in Washington DC, as well. The program offers a full time for those who want to complete the program quickly (as well as international students) and part time option for working professionals. You can also choose between a one year full time program or a two year part time version.

Here are firms that have hired MSF graduates:

  • 3M
  • BlackRock
  • Cambridge Associates
  • Deloitte
  • Economic Consulting Services
  • Fannie Mae
  • Freddie Mac
  • Freed Advisors
  • International Monetary Fund
  • Merrill Lynch
  • Standard & Poor’s
  • UBS Wealth Management

The hiring firms comprise a list is both government employers (or those who focus on the Federal Government) and private employers. I think this program would be ideal for both, since the American University brand is pretty well known in the states, even more so within the Federal employer circle.

At the time of this posting, the average salary was $71,936.
