The Georgetown University MSF program’s final application deadline is fast approaching. If any of you have interest in applying to the program, July 15th is your last chance. Those who apply by this final deadline will have an admissions decision within two weeks. A very tight turn around and helpful for all of you trying to make plans with regards to where go for grad school, giving notice and finances. This looks to be a competitive year as well. I know personally I have answered a number of questions from dozens of interested students.

Below is the Class of 2020 Class profile as well as video on the Georgetown University MSF program. I am always working on a more fulsome post talking about graduate career successes To all who are applying, good luck!

2020 Class Profile

The school has a nice infographic on the most recent class that I found useful. Below are the highlights, but you can see the full profile here.

  • Average Age – 29.5 years
  • International – 7%
  • Average GMAT – 670
  • Average GPA – 3.3
  • Average Work Experience – 7.5 years
  • % Non-Business UG – 57%

Please keep in mind that there are younger and older students in the program and those with more or less work experience. I do think students will find that they learn a lot from their classmates, in addition to the program, because of the experience that they will bring to the table.

Holistic Admissions

The university put together a great video (albeit short) with the Director of the MSF Program, Dr. Allan Eberhart, speaking about the holistic application process. Georgetown is looking to work with students that want to be there, so make sure to talk with admissions and discuss ways you can strengthen your application if you feel it is deficient. Don’t allow your own doubts to make you think you can’t get in.

That is all for now from me. I wanted to get this out to all of you fast as the deadline is approaching quickly. In the meantime, I will be working on a more fulsome post talking about the 2017 placements so stay tuned for that in the upcoming weeks.
