University of Virginia Masters in Commerce 2015 Placements

The University of Virginia Masters in Commerce program has some of the best placements of all the specialized masters programs. These great results have continued for the 2015 class. I consider to be a function of a number of things, mainly the amazing organization of the program, effort the admissions and career staff put into each class and the McIntire brand. I have no doubt these results will continue for the foreseeable future.

The graduating class had a 95% placement rate of students who have either accepted or are considering a job offer three months after graduation. Another 2% were pursing additional schools. The class is split between those focusing on finance (36%) and those focusing on marketing and management (64%).

Total compensation skews higher for the finance graduates (for obvious reasons), but the total compensation for the marketing and management graduates is a respectable $69K.

 Placements
Placements range the gamut of top firms. This owes to the fact that you have students placing not only at top financial institutions, but also F500 firms, Big 4, consulting, etc. I’ve included a select few Companies below to highlight where UVA MS Commerce students are placing into.
  • Amazon
  • Bank of America
  • Cambridge Associates
