I just received the Georgetown University MSF Class of 2019 Career Success Report and wanted to get a post up here for everyone to check out. The school does a great job of publishing employment reports annually and it has been really nice to watch the program evolve and succeed. Some pretty impressive results! I will try and summarize below captured and the full PDF will be posted at the end of this write up.
Class of 2019 Career Success Report
All of the data is 6 months post graduation and from the class of 2019. A few take aways include:
- Average Base Salary – $129,429
- Average Bonus – $21,214 (74% of the class was eligible for a bonus)
- 68% of the graduating class changed jobs (externally or through internal promotion)
- 47% increase in average salary (37% increase in median)
My thoughts on this. Great starting salary, really reflecting the fact that a lot of students in the MSF program really being older, more established professionals. The job change stats is great and I think indicates that this is a good MBA substitute for some students. The salary increase should make students feel a lot better when considering the program cost as well.
Below is a list of sample employers for the 2019 class. This list isn’t complete, but I hope it gives all of you a nice idea of where Georgetown MSF students are going to work.
- AIG
- Ameriprise Financial
- BBVA
- Blackrock
- Boeing
- Capital One
- Citi
- Deloitte
- ING Capital
- JP Morgan Chase
- Mastercard
- Merrill Lynch Wealth Management
- Nike
- Scotiabank

The report, included here , has some student commentary on how the program helped their careers. I find it is always nice to hear from graduates about their experience and thoughts on the program. The full report also includes additional firms that have hired students. All in all, I think this report is a strong indicator of the quality of education and opportunities available to students, as well as the universe of alumni that students can reach out to in order to network.
Enjoy and check back soon for more!
