Notre Dame Masters in Management Update – October 2016

University of Notre Dame MS Business

The Notre Dame Masters in Management program is in full swing with applications for the class of 2018, so I thought it would be great to provide an update on the program for everyone. While still relatively new, the Notre Dame program has been able to do some really great things and cement its place as one of the top MiM programs in the country.

Class of 2017 Profile

  • Total Number of Students: 48
  • GMAT Middle 80% Range: 536 – 688
  • GRE Middle 80% Range: 294 – 326
  • Mean GPA: 3.33
  • Mean Age: 22
  • International: 8%

Another interesting thing I took away from this class profile is approximately even split between STEM undergraduate majors and those with a humanities background. It seems as if the school is making a concerted effort to have this educational diversity in the class.

Application Timing

The early decision round has already passed, with applicants hearing back in another month. The timing for the remaining rounds is listed below.

  • Round 1 – November 1, 2016
  • Round 2 – January 17, 2017
  • Round 3 – February 14, 2017
  • Round 4 – March 28, 2017

International students are encouraged to apply by at least round 2 in order to give time to process visa requests and other documents necessary.

Grade Non-Disclosure

So I found something very interesting. Mendoza has a grade non-disclosure policy which includes Masters in Management students. I’ve heard about this for certain MBA programs, but this is a first for a specialized masters program.

Placements

I am working on getting something more comprehensive when it comes to that. They list their top employers for the program that are in line with what I have posted before. I am going to see if I can get something with more detail or something that is spread out over the years the program has been around. Below is what they list right now.

  • AON Catastrophic Risk
  • Ascendant Strategy Management Group
  • Baker & Shultz
  • Citibank
  • Comerica
  • Deloitte
  • E & J Gallo
  • Euromonitor International
  • FINRA
  • First Life Financial
  • Francesan Alliance
  • Merchants Fleet Management
  • Northern Trust
  • Peerless Midwest
  • Protiviti

Hope this helps anyone considering the program. As always, keep checking back as I work to get more information for everyone as they go through their decision process.
