I just received the Georgetown University MSF Class of 2020 Career Success Report and wanted to get a post up here for everyone to check out. The school does a great job of publishing employment reports annually and it has been really nice to watch the program evolve and succeed. Some pretty impressive results! I will try and summarize below captured and the full PDF will be posted at the end of this write up.
Class of 2020 Career Success Report
All of the data is 6 months post graduation and from the class of 2020. A few take aways include:
- Average Base Salary – $112,605
- 81% of the graduating class changed jobs (externally or through internal promotion)
- 52% increase in average salary (44% increase in median)
I like these stats. High base salary is reflective of the experienced students and the fact that the degree results in a 52% increase in the average salary is an amazing ROI. I also like the statistic that 81% of graduates changed job or roll. This degree is not only provides additional income for students, but is a launching pad for a new job or growth within an existing organization.
Below is a list of sample employers for the 2020 class. This list isn’t complete, but I hope it gives all of you a nice idea of where Georgetown MSF students are going to work.

The report, included here , has four quotes and comments from graduated students about how the Georgetown University MSF has impacted their career. The full report also includes additional firms that have hired students. All in all, I think this report is a strong indicator of the quality of education and opportunities available to students, as well as the universe of alumni that students can reach out to in order to network.
