The Georgetown University MSF program has been really good about posting frequent articles on their site about the various aspects of their program. One thing that I always liked about the schools with their opening residency program, where students come to campus and work on a case study together. This is a great opportunity, especially for students in the online program, to bond and meet each other. Students also take part in an global consulting program, providing both international experience and another chance to build relationships. The school posted a nice article on this residency program that you can read in entirety here, but you can see some highlights below:
“Even though the Georgetown MSF is a blended program – with classes online and in the blended classroom, personal interactions are the key to creating a lifelong support community of students and alumni. The Opening Residency, where new students come to campus for a case study competition, is an early opportunity for students to meet one another and their professors in person at the McDonough School of Business.
During the competition, which takes place following their first academic course (Financial Markets), student teams develop a strategy and present solutions to subject matter experts. Throughout the residency, students apply coursework to a real-world scenario while strengthening their leadership and communication skills. During the case competition, students also have time to connect with alumni, network with faculty, and access on-campus resources.”

Application Deadlines
The first two application deadlines have passed, but there is still plenty of time to apply to the Georgetown MSF program if you are interested. All are for the mid-August 2020 start date.
- Round 3 – 2/1/2020 (Deadline), Notification – 3/2/20
- Round 4 – 3/20/20 (Deadline), Notification -4/17/20
- Round 5 – 6/1/20 (Deadline), Notification – 6/29/20
Georgetown MSF Info Session – 2/25 @ 7 PM ET
Online information sessions are a great way to talk with the admissions staff without traveling all the way to campus. The Georgetown MSF has an upcoming information session Tuesday, February 25th, next month. Allan Eberhart, MSF Director, will be hosting the information session.
