UIC Master in Finance

The University of Illinois at Chicago Master in Finance Program is a new addition to MSFHQ. The UIC MSF program is located in downtown Chicago making it a great option for anyone working in the city or looking to go to school while interning.

This one year degree provides a comprehensive foundation in graduate finance and will benefit those trying to start their careers or for those looking to advance in their current place of employment.

Enrolled students have three required classes (Investments, Corporate Finance and Quantitative Methods in Finance) and then can choose from 5 electives (listed below).

Accounting

Information and Decision Sciences

  • Data Mining for Business
  • Business Research and Forecasting
  • Time Series Analysis
  • Optimization

This allows for a highly customizable degree giving students the option to tailor their education to best suite their professional goals and needs.

The University of Illinois at Chicago Master in Finance Program also includes access to the CME Training Lab, a virtual electronic trading center featuring Bloomberg terminals and other industry software so students can train on the systems used in the financial industry. The International Center for Futures and Derivatives brings industry professionals on campus to present and give students an opportunity to network with individuals who are leaders in their respective fields.

Scholarships are available for qualified applicants and there are two deadlines (depending on the start date you want).

Domestic Applicants

  • June 15 – Fall semester entry
  • November 1 – Spring semester entry

International Applicants

  • February 15 – Fall semester entry
  • November 1 – Spring semester entry
