The University of Rhode Island has just announced the approval of a brand new masters in finance program, slated to begin January 2016. The program will be taught at the Providence Campus and take one year to complete (two semesters and a summer semester). Curriculum will encompass subject matter found on both the CFA and CFP exams.
Not too much is available online as of yet. The program doesn’t even have a landing page. I’ve reached out to the school for more information and will hopefully be able to report back more soon. With the January start this program stands apart from most other MSF programs that either start in the summer or early fall. I’d imagine this will be great for northeastern students looking for a local MSF program or international students that miss application deadlines for other programs. Stay tuned!
