Villanova University just recently updated their career section on the website with their 2015 placement information. I’ve spoken with students in that class throughout the program so I’ve known a number of placements, but I never had the complete list. I must admit, I am pretty impressed with the firms students received offers from as well as some of the geographies that people got jobs in.
2015 Placements

These placements are broken down by job function:
- Investment Banking: 24%
- Consulting: 14%
- Investment Management:9%
- Private Wealth Management: 14%
- Private Equity: 5%
- Commercial Banking: 9%
- Coprorate Finance: 10%
- Diversified Financial Services: 14%
- Other Finance 5%
- Continued Education: 5%
This all combines for an average class base salary of $67,600. I believe this is a function of the fact that the majority of positions are in NYC or Philadelphia, both relatively high paying metro areas. Another thing I found interesting was the diversity of placements. Consulting had a good showing, as did corporate finance. These tend to be focused on less, but more and more programs seem to be placing students in these careers (mainly consulting, corporate finance is a routinely sought after career option). I think this shows the flexibility of this degree.
If you’d like to learn more about previous placements, you can check them out here. The last three years are represented along with salary data. I will keep everyone updated as this current years class placements begin to materialize.
