The Villanova University Masters in Finance program is close to my heart as I am a 2010 graduate of the program. I was checking the website out the other day and notices some updates and thought that it would be a good time to write a new post on the program. This has been one of the older MSF’s out there and one that is continually popular. There is an information session coming up as well for anyone interested.
2021 Job Placements
The university reported that 94% of students were employed within 6 months of graduation. These are good results when compared across various other programs. Villanova also does a good job tracking where MSF graduates find employment. Below is a list of the hiring firms for the class of 2021:
Accenture | Jefferies |
AllianceBernstein | Johnson & Johnson |
Alloy Capital Partners | Kvika Banki |
Altus Group | Ladenburg Thalmann (LTAM) |
BMO Capital Markets | Lakes Region Pet Resort |
Centri Business Consulting | Management Planning Inc. |
Chatham Financial | Marion Street Capital |
Commercial Bank of Dubai | Marshall and Stevens |
Crowe, LLP. | Mizuho |
Denovo Capital | North Point Mergers and Acquisitions |
GAMCO Investor, Inc. | Oppenheimer |
GCA Advisors | Optimizely |
Goldman Sachs | Solebury Capital Valuation Research Corporation (VRC) |
Hamilton Zanze | World Insurance Associates LLC |
ICONMA/Bank of America | |
InTandem Capital Partners |
2021 Class Profile
They should be updating this profile relatively soon since the 2022-2023 class is about to begin. This is a good class size while still maintaining respectable GPA and GMAT scores.
- Cohort size: 42
- Average GPA: 3.4
- Average GMAT: 650
- Average age: 22
- Domestic / International: 83% domestic / 17% international
STEM Certified
This is good news for international students. The Villanova MSF is STEM-certified. This is very important as it makes it possible for international graduates to remain in the U.S. for an additional 24 months after graduation and receive training through work experience. Absolutely wonderful to see this for the program.
Miscellaneous
There is an upcoming information session for the MSF program and I always encourage anyone interested to attend as they are a great way to show interest in the program and get specific questions answered.
