Lehigh University Masters in Management Program Update – November 2018

Lehigh University MS in Management

It has been a little while since I last updated everyone on the Lehigh University Masters in Management Program. Since I last wrote there have been need information on who is hiring Lehigh students from this program as well as some additional feedback from students on the program. Both of which I thought would be of interest to anyone considering the program, especially since we are in the middle of application season. Check out below for the update and keep checking back for more information.

2018 Applications

All schools are firing  up their application rounds, Lehigh being no different. The early admission round has passed a couple weeks ago, but we have the first official round coming up soon. Below are the rounds and dates you should hear back from the school. Keep in mind everyone starts the same time – August 2019.

Round 1: Dec. 1 December 14 August 2019
Round 2: Feb. 1 February 15 August 2019
Final Round: March 15 March 29 August 2019

Hiring at Lehigh

Companies such as IBM, Bloomberg, Amazon, the United Nations and PayPal have hired 2018 MS Management graduates from Lehigh’s MS Management Program. With 93% reporting 90 days post -graduation, the student success exceeds expectations.

Popular industries for the MS Management students included Management Consulting, Financial Services and Technology, a pattern that has emerged over the past three years.

I have posted the 2017 placements before, but I think this is a nice bit of color about who continues to hire students that might help some of  you trying to make a decision.

Program Update

A consulting practicum was added to the orientation enabling student to participate in experiential learning projects with Pennsylvania based firms through the Small Business Development Center. This should provide some real world experience for anyone considering this field of work post-graduation.

Student Feedback

I always try and get full student reviews, but short blurbs can be helpful as they are often very recent and give you a quick idea how students feel . The below student received a great job from Amazon, putting both his undergraduate and masters education to work!

“The Master’s in Management Program prepared me well for my role as Area Manager at Amazon. The Managing Talent course taught me how to motivate and gain the respect of my team on the warehouse floor and the focus on Excel in the Management Information Systems class allowed me to impress my managers. Overall, I would recommend the program to anyone who is looking to sharpen their business skill and become part of a strong network.”

This is the update for now, but I will keep working to get everyone more and more information on these program. Keep checking back!
