Lehigh University Masters in Management Program Update – April 2023

I have tried to cover the Lehigh University Masters in Management program on a routine basis as I think this is one of the better MiM programs out there. Looks like I have missed some things with this one so I thought it would make sense to post a program refresh. Lots of new information on this masters in management and I know this is a degree option many of you research. Hope this helps anyone considering this program.

Class Profile

The Lehigh University MiM class of 2023 profile includes the following:

  • Average GPA – 3.53
  • Average Age – 23
  • International – 17%
  • Male/Female – 27% Male / 63% Female

The program pulls students from 6 different undergraduate institutions and the majority of those students studies social science or humanities. Please note that this is a graduate program for non-business students.

Comparing this to prior years, things look relatively consistent. Age and GPA is about the same. International students make up less of the class. Women look to consistently make up the majority of this program. Looks like Lehigh has been able to recruit a good class each and every year.

Career Outcomes

The Lehigh University Masters in Management program does a good job accelerating its graduates careers. They also can good career outcome information posted on their website. This is something potential applicants look for and something I appreciate being able to write about.

Graduates from the 2022 class found the following successful outcomes:

  • Median Base Salary – $72,000
  • Average Sign On Bonus – $5,960
  • Placement % – 89%
    • Employed, Continuing Education, Military

Sample of firms hiring Lehigh MiM Graduates:

  • Accenture
  • American Express
  • Biosense Webster-Johnson & Johnson
  • Bloomberg
  • Carpenter Technology Corporation
  • Edison Energy
  • Morgan Stanley
  • PPL Electric
  • Pratt and Whitney
  • Syneos Health

Another statistic I think is important to highlight is that 71% of graduates heard about a job opportunity from alumni or connections, 43% from a job fair or OCR, and almost 30% from faculty or advisors. Shows how the university goes out of their way to help students in their job search.

Admissions

For anyone interested in applying to this program this year, you still have time.

  • Final: May 1
  • Rolling Admissions: After May 1, any domestic applicants will continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis.

*International applicants currently residing in their home country and requiring a new visa should submit a complete application no later than 6/1 to allow for visa processing. International applicants already in the US on an F1 visa can submit a complete application by the 7/15 deadline for consideration for the Fall 2023 term.

The application is fairly standard, GRE/GMAT is optional, although the university recommends providing a rationale behind why you do not need to take these tests (an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.3 or better or A grade of B or better in two (2) or more quantitative courses would satisfy this).

Tuition is currently (4/20) $52,570.

Dual Degree Options

Students who purse the Masters in Management degree can earn a second masters with another year of study. You can add a MS in Business Analytics or a MS in Applied Economics to your studies. Benefits of this include a streamlined admission processes, merit-based tuition awards, and easy credit transfers.

I have seen a number of programs offer dual degrees, but this is pretty unique and definitely something to factor in when comparing programs.

Lots of great things happening at Lehigh. I will reconnect with admissions and get some additional information on this program as well. Stay tuned for more!
