The University of Texas at Austin MSF Program was recently ranked number 1 in the pre-experience category by the Financial Times. This is incredibly impressive as the FT is one of the oldest and I believe the original ranker of MSF programs. The criteria to be included in the ranking is very stringent and the schools included definitely skew international, but that being said, this is still great news for the UT program.
Here are some excerpts from the press release that the University of Texas sent me. You can read it in entirety here.
“McCombs has been steadily rising in the annual ranking since first participating in 2017 when the Texas MSF came in eighth among U.S. schools. The intensive 10-month program rose to seventh in 2018 and sixth in 2020, before leaping to first place this year. FT suspended the 2019 ranking due to technical upgrades.”
“McCombs tied for 43rd place in the worldwide tally. The top spots went, respectively, to HEC Paris, ESCP Business School, and Skema Business School, all headquartered in France. FT’s higher education rankings are known for their global diversity, with 93 percent of the rated MSF programs located outside the United States.”
You can check out the entire Financial Times ranking here. The paper has a pre and post experience ranking as many programs in Europe are for experienced students (in contrast to the US where the degree is primarily for recent graduates). Over the years I have blogged about these rankings and checked them out every year. Hopefully we will see additional rankings come out from more US focused periodicals.
Congrats to the UT MSF program! I am sure there will be continued success.
