Vanderbilt University MSF 2022 Career Outcomes

I just received the Vanderbilt University MSF 2022 Career Outcomes and they are amazing as one would come to expect. I have tried to post updated career information every year on this program and it has been my pleasure to watch the continued and predictable success. There is no question this is one of the top MSF programs in the United States right now.

Class of 2022 Profile

I think it is always a good idea to start by looking at the overall profile to understand the makeup of the students.

• Class Size – 81 students
• Average Years Work Experience – 0.65 (about a year)
• Male / Female – 78% / 22%
• Average GMAT – 682
• Average Undergraduate GPA – 3.71

My thoughts on the above stats – phenomenal. Large class size, very strong GPA average and a GMAT average nearing 700. These statistics are top notch. I went back through some of my older posts and it looks like Vanderbilt has been able to maintain a consistent GPA and GMAT average while adding students, something that is incredibly hard. If you are a strong applicant, this program will not disappoint you.

Career Outcomes

This program has been in existence for 17 years now. What an amazing accomplishment.

• Salary Information
  • Average – $91,377 (including domestic and international)
    • Low – $61,000
    • High – $110,000

Placement Information by Job Function

• Investment Banking – 48%
• Real Estate Finance – 13%
• Management Consulting – 11%

The remainder of the class found employment in equity research, private equity, investment management,  advisory & valuation, corporate finance and sales & trading.

I am very, very impressed that nearly half of the class went into investment banking. This is some of the strongest IB placements that I have ever seen.

The Vanderbilt MSF program places students throughout the country, something that some people might not realize from a program that is technically in the south. Also, students received their offer from a combination of on campus recruiting as well as alumni and networking. The fact that Vanderbilt alumni are so helpful in this process shows the support and satisfaction that graduates of the program have.
