University of Virginia Masters in Commerce Update – January 2025

The University of Virginia Masters in Commerce program is one of the top specialized masters offered in the US and it has been around for when I was considering programs. I posted an update about six months ago and it looks like there are some nice updates on this one. Still plenty of time to apply as well!

2024-2025 Class Profile

The MS in Commerce does a great job providing an abundance of information on their upcoming class. Very helpful in seeing how you stack up and with their regular updating of this information, it lets you see how things have changed year over year.

  • International – 9%
  • Female – 39%
  • GPA Range (Mid-80%) – 3.27-3.84
  • Non-UVA Undergraduate – 37%

The program is very diverse, having 18 languages spoken and 38 different undergraduate institutions represented. There are four tracks that students can choose from. Below are the percentages of the students that are in each.

  • Biotechnology – 13%

  • Marketing & Management – 37%

Admissions

There is still plenty of time to apply for this upcoming class. Below are the remaining application deadlines:

    • Global Immersion Fee $5,259
  • Out-of-State & International – $52,648
    • Global Immersion Fee $5,258

Miscellaneous

I’ve mentioned this before, but this is a STEM designated program with a 3 week international immersion experience. Students can pick from 4 tracks – Business Analytics, Biotechnology, Finance, and Marketing & Management.

There are a number of upcoming information events for anyone interested in the program. As always, I strongly encourage people to attend these. Both informative and shows admissions you are interested in the program. You can find all the upcoming events here.

Outside of that, I expect updated placement information to be available relatively soon. I will keep checking back and write another update once I see that go live.
