The University of Wisconsin just started up a two year, master in finance degree for current undergraduate students (one year in addition to the standard four year undergrad degree). The program is designed for students interested in research or portfolio management, playing off the Applied Security Analysis Programs strength and reputation in this area.
Since the program is limited to Wisconsin students right now I am sure it will have limited interest, but remember, this is how MIT’s Master in Finance program started. The program incorporates internships, networking trips as well as the CFA level 1 exam throughout the year of study. I have no doubt that it will be successful with this type of outline. The initial class is gearing up, but hopefully in a couple years it will be available to non Wisconsin students .
You can read about the program here. If I find out anything new about it I will keep you all posted.
