I featured the Lehigh University Masters in Management program on my site a couple months ago as a relatively new entrant in the specialized masters space. I have some familiarity with the school since it is in the Philadelphia region and I know they have a very good reputation locally as well as in New York City. Well I just received some great updated information that I wanted to pass along to everyone.
Placements
About 30% of the class have received offers through November. This is pretty good this early in the program. Hiring firms include IBM, Amazon, PwC, Deloitte, Apprise Software, Decision Resources Group and Tischman Spyers in NYC. More to follow on this as the program continues.
Professional Development
Lehigh students had the opportunity to visit Thomson Reuters and the United Nations in New York City. They also met with firms in Philadelphia such as PwC and the Constitution Center. On campus, students have been working on their interview skills which includes Case Interview Preparation, Competency Based Interviews followed by Ethics of the Job Offer and Negotiating Your First Job Offer.
Local Partners
Students are working with a variety of local firms through internships or projects. These firms include The Stonehouse Group (consulting), VWR Catalyst (marketing), Ben Franklin Tech Ventures and the Allentown Economic Development Bridgeworks Enterprise Center. Additionally, executives from Saint Gobain, Thomson Reuters, Air Products and other companies have agreed to volunteer their time and experience to work with and help students.
