Arizona State University MSF Program Update – May 2025

Was just checking in on the Arizona State University MSF program and found some updates that I thought warranted a post. I was just up in Tempe and this is a fun place in a growing area to study for a MSF. The program has been around for a long time at this point and their website is always pretty comprehensive.

2024 Class Profile

  • Average GPA – 3.23
  • Average Work Experience – 3.25 years
  • Average Age – 25
  • Male/Female – 74% / 26%
  • International – 76%

This program looks to be leaning towards those with some work experience and a little older. I checked the previous years class profile and it looks very similar, with the exception that this years class has about another 2 years of work experience on average.

Admissions

Couple updates here. If you are interested in applying, there is one round left:

  • Round 4 – July 1st, 2025 (Final)

Tuition has increased slightly from my last post as well.

MS-FIN (Corporate finance)

  • Resident – $41,000
  • Nonresident – $65,000
  • International – $69,000

MS-FIN (Analytical methods)

  • Resident – $59,000
  • Nonresident – $90,000
  • International – $94,000

Alumni Stories

The ASU MSF program has a number of quotes and stories from recent graduates. I love seeing this because hearing from someone who did the same program you are considering is incredibly helpful when making your MSF choice.

“The MS-FIN program was the perfect opportunity to gain deeper insights into finance and connect with people of varying ages and work experience,”. “The professors want you to succeed, and will provide time and resources outside of class upon request.”

“The MS-FIN allowed this student to move closer to his goals and led to his current position as a securitized products analyst at Credit Suisse, now a UBS AG Group Company. He calls the program a “gateway” to his success.”

“In the program, she formed strong connections and gained high-impact skills and knowledge to launch her career in hedge fund services.”
