The Johns Hopkins University Master in Finance program was historically only a part time program. Well they decided to change that and have recently started a full time, during the day option. Right now they are accepting application for their first full time class, offered in both Washington DC and Baltimore MD, starting Fall 2013.
Tuition for the FT program is $56,200 for the year. This is a competitive price considering the location and surrounding competitors. Both Washington ( in DuPont Circle) and Baltimore (Inner Harbor) are great cities with a vibrant economy and a good amount of finance.
The curriculum for this new program is expected to include:
- Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Business Communication
- Corporate Finance
- Derivatives
- Economics for Decision Making
- Financial Institutions
- Financial Modeling
- Fixed Income
- Investments
- Leadership Ethics Seminar
- Statistical Analysis
- The Firm and the Macro-Economy
They are going on their second year of their new program structure so I will make an effort to update all of you with how it is going. There is a good student review of the Johns Hopkins program here in the mean time.
