I just found out that this blog was mentioned in one of Mergers and Inquisitions recent articles. Needless to say I am honored. I have been an avid reader of his site for well over 3 years now and have purchase resume services as well as modeling courses from him. Let me say this, worth every penny.
The M&I website should be continued reading for anyone interested in banking or trying to break in. I think Brian’s site is pretty much straight up no nonsense information.
His modeling video’s are spot on and incredibly helpful. They are continually updated with new ones added regularly. Just recently a series on Power Point was put out and they really outline every shortcut and trick in the book.
The resume services are great. I really cannot stress enough the importance of having a resume specifically tailored for finance. Career services in college are great, but they don’t have a clue when it comes to banking. The resume you use to get a job at Merck is not the one you want to email to bankers. Drop some money and have it professionally redone.
