Notre Dame Masters in Finance Update – April 2023

The Notre Dame Masters in Finance program sadly shut down their Chicago MSF option, but their on campus learning option continues stronger than ever. The ND brand is amazing and all of the programs this university offers are well done and beneficial for the students.

Class Profile

The Notre Dame 2023 Class Profile looks strong as always. Academics are always stressed at ND and you can expect all the programs they offer to reflect this. Below is the current years profile to help in gauging your relative competitiveness.

  • Class Size – 31 students
  • Average GPA – 3.61
  • Average GMAT – 658
  • Female – 24%
  • International – 18%

This looks like a manageable class size with good scores. Many of these MSF programs are overweight international students, but the Notre Dame program is mostly domestic students, something hard to achieve.

Admissions

Something to note – this program is for non-finance undergraduates. If you have a finance major you will be ineligible. Applicants with a 3.5 GPA and above or an undergraduate degree from Notre Dame will be eligible to waive their GMAT/GRE requirement as well. Rest of the application is fairly standard.

Tuition for the 2023-24 M.S. in Finance program is $61,160.

If you are still interested in applying, the Notre Dame MSF program has one final round left. Round 4 Deadline – May 2nd, 2023 – Decision – June 2nd, 2023.

Placements

The Notre Dame MSF program has some incredible placement information from the previous years class. Great program placements and starting salary.

  • 100% of MSF Class of 2022 graduates accepted fill-time offers within six months of graduation
  • Average Base Salary – $80,000

In looking at placements by geography, it looks like Chicago and New York City are the two places where students went to work. This is not surprising and if students are looking to work in either of these amazing financial centers.

Here is a list of firms that hired ND MSF students: Bloomberg, Citi, Constitution Capital, Cowen, CVS Health, Deloitte, FW Cook, Jefferies, JLL, JP Morgan Chase, Par 4 Investment Management, Prudential Private Capital, Raymond James. Slate Asset Management, Zimmer, and Biomet.

Looks like this program continues to excel and produce amazing results. I’ve spent a lot of time on the Notre Dame campus and worked with many alumni in Chicago. There is something special about the bond this school creates and the results for this specialized masters are clear. Hope this helped.
