I just recently came across the Saint Peter’s University Masters in Finance program and this looks like a new program. Always exciting to find another MSF option for all of you. This one is located in Jersey City, right outside Manhattan. A perfect option for anyone looking to study and be close to the city.
Overview
This is a 30 credit hour MSF, meeting in person, with both a full time and part time option. All classes are taught in the evening, making this ideal for a working professional or recent graduate who is interning. There are 8 required courses and two electives in your desired concentration (Global Finance and Quantitative Finance). It looks like there is either a required thesis or a thesis option and the website includes prior students thesis’s for those interested to read them.
The curriculum stands out to me, focusing on economics, history of economic thought, financial ethics as well as an internship/mentored research project. I would say the classes that comprise this program are unique to this university, something that might be of interest to you depending on your academic curiosity.
Admissions
The admissions requirements are fairly standard, but the website does emphasize “it is recommended that students have a strong background in Economics and Finance. Additionally, students with prior work experience in the economics/finance field will also be considered for the program.”. This is highlighted in the courses you will be taking in this program.
Tuition is incredibly reasonable, costing $1,115 per credit hour (total tuition coming in at $33,450 as of April 21st, 2026).
Applications for this program are due August 1st. Plenty of time for you to research this program and get your application in order if you want to apply.

Looks like this one has been around for a few years. Just goes to show you that you find new, existing programs every day. I like the economics focus on this MSF and ability to take night classes so close to the city is a huge plus. That, combined with the affordability of this degree, should interest more than a few of you. I will try and learn more about this MSF. Until then, hope this helps.
