University of Denver MSF Program Update

University of Denver Masters in Finance

I wanted to provide everyone with a University of Denver MSF Program Update since it has been a long time since I posted anything about the program. I just came across an article talking about how the university and, specifically, the Master in Finance program, just got included in the CFA Institute’s University Recognition Program. This is a great honor and designation for MSF programs and really shows how U Denver’s program is taking the MSF seriously.

The business school is working to develop new courses that include CFA materials as a result of being included in this program. One course in particular is focusing on ethics as the university has a goal of producing ethical business leaders.

Being included in the CFA recognition program comes after many years of successful competition in the institutes annual CFA Institute Research Challenge. The University of Denver program has won the Colorado competition 3 out of the last 5 years, including last year where they advanced to the Americas final and the semi-finals.

For anyone interest in learning more, the University is holding a graduate admissions webinar on August 20th. It is going to be held at 9am and 5pm (two sessions) for students to come and ask questions and learn more. Please note that this is Mountain Time so make sure to adjust your timing appropriately.

I will try and learn some more about the program, maybe get a student review or some placement stats. Until I do, I hope this helps.
