University of Illinois Masters in Finance Update – Nov 2023

It has been a little bit since I last checked in on the University of Illinois Masters in Finance program. This is a very respected university that places well in Chicago and New York. I also believe the UIUC MSF is one of the oldest in the country as well. Bunch of updates for the program and with the consistent interest in this MSF, I thought it made sense to write an update. Enjoy!

The application cycle is now open for the fall class, with plenty of time to apply.

Below is the updated tuition costs for the program. This hasn’t increased substantially since I last posted this in 2021.

Class Profile

This hasn’t changed since the last time I posted about the program. Still relevant though and a good guide post for the scores you will need to get admitted.

  • Class Size – 133 Students
  • Avg. GPA – 3.41
  • Avg. GMAT – 686
  • Avg. GRE – 317
  • Avg. Work Experience – 9 months

Career Outcomes

The university does a good job keeping a running list of graduates. I’d love to see the information broken out per year, but you can still use some of this information to help gauge who is hiring graduates. Chicago and NYC are the top cities for graduate placements, something to keep in mind if these are not where you want to work.

  • 94% Placement rate within six months of graduation (2021 graduates)
  • $9,800 Average signing bonus (2021 Graduates)
