University of Rochester NYC MS in Management Update

University of Rochester Masters in Finance

The University of Rochester NYC MS in Management program is relatively new, but I have some updated information to post regarding the program. It is one of the few MS in Management programs offered in New York City and the Simon Business School is a great brand and university.

The program starts this upcoming July 2014, with a final deadline of June 1st. This leaves plenty of time for anyone interested in applying. For those interested in meeting with admissions staff and asking questions directly, there are a couple informational receptions coming up. They should be helpful in your decision making process.

You can study for your MS in Management over the course of 13 months, on the weekend. There is one residency week at the beginning and one at the end of the program. All books, travel and accommodations, and meals on class weekends are included in the tuition. This allows you to keep your job while obtaining an advanced education and increase your educational and career value for current and perspective employers.

Applicants must submit their resume, letters of recommendation, transcripts and a GMAT/GRE score. One nice aspect of the Rochester MS in Management program is that your GMAT/GRE score can be waived on a case by case basis. Really great for those who are poor test takers or who don’t want to go through the trouble of retaking the test.

Special Note

I want to bring to all of your attention something really interesting that I learned recently. Students who complete their Rochester MS in Management can get their MBA from Simon with only a few classes on campus. This is a great way for individuals working in New York to get get their MBA without having to relocate for a full two years. I need to find out all of the details, which I will post here, but this seems like a great plan for anyone trying to get their graduate education.
