University of Southern California MSF Update – April 2025

Was checking out the University of Southern California MSF program the other day and noticed some updates along with a new career outcomes report. This program is one of the top in the country and students routinely ask about this and seek to gain admittance. The results since this MSF has launched have been impressive and I fully expect it to continue. Enjoy the update!

2023 Career Outcome

This program has had continual success since it launched and the stats this year do not disappoint.

  • Average Base Salary – $78,782
    • Salary Range – $37,440 – $125,000
  • Placements (6 months from graduation) – 82%
  • Hires in North America – 91%
    • International – 9%

While the placement percentage is slightly lower than some other schools, USC does generally have a good number of international students that go onto further education or return to their home countries after graduation. This can lower the employed percentage, but a lot of the time this is by choice vs. not being able to find a job after graduating.

Here is a list of hiring firms:

This is a great list of investment banks, F500 companies and consulting firms. Graduates took roles in credit, audit, risk, budgeting, consulting and everything in between. Geographically, students found jobs across the United States as well as internationally.

Admissions

Current tuition for this program is $86,248. There is one more application round for the upcoming cohort with a deadline of April 15th.

The application process is fairly standard and for this program, GMAT/GRE is required.

Miscellaneous

This is a highly customizable, 16 month MSF program on a gorgeous campus in the heart of Los Angeles. Not only do you get access to a world class education, but the campus experience is a selling point on its own. I was very excited when this program launched as the West Coast doesn’t have as many MSF programs as the East, but this is without a doubt one of the best programs in the country.

I’ll try and get some student reviews or additional materials for all of you so stay tuned for more.
