It is that time again! The Vanderbilt University MSF programs 2025 career report has been released. I always look forward to this and the results have been consistently amazing. Since the beginning Vanderbilt has done a great job preparing as well as placing students. The career results are one of the many highlights of this program.

2025 Career Report

I’ll lay out the data and provide some of my commentary at the end.

  • Average Salary – $94,144
    • Average Signing Bonus – $9,250
  • % Accepting Position w. 6 Months – 94%
  • Employment by Industry:
    • Investment Banking – 46%
    • Investment Management – 9%
    • Private Equity/Venture Capital – 7%
    • Advisory & Valuation – 6%

  • The other 32% is very granular and made up of corporate finance, real estate, equity research, management consulting and other fields.
  • Geographically, the majority (43%) of students found employment in the south. Northeast came in second with (25%). The remaining students found employment throughout the US. Proving that while this is a school with strong southern placements, graduates can start their career anywhere they way.

Top metros include Nashville, NYC, Atlanta, Charlotte and Chicago.
