Wake Forest Masters in Management Update – October 2024

I’ve been writing about the Wake Forest Masters in Management program for over a decade now and it is one of the oldest MiM programs out there. The degree has grown in popularity along many other specialized masters degrees and this one has evolved over time. Been a while since I last updated everyone on the program and it looks like there is a lot to write about. Enjoy.

2024 Class Profile

Here is the current make up of the most recent MiM program:

  • Class Size – 82 Students
  • Average GPA – 3.5
  • Average GRE – 316
  • Gender Breakdown – 52% Male / 48% Female
  • International – 15%

This is a fairly large class, but this is not uncommon among other schools offering this degree. There are 48 schools represented and 39 majors. Pretty impressed by the even split among genders and the fact that they were able to recruit a class this large with only 15% international students.

Admissions

As I have mentioned before, pretty standard application. You cannot have an undergraduate degree in business or too much work experience to apply to this degree. Please keep that in mind. You have to take either the GMAT or GRE unless you have a GPA of 3.2 or better and at least two grades of B or better in quantitative or other rigorous coursework, from a U.S.-based college/university.

Application Deadlines for Summer 2025 Enrollment:

  • Domestic Applicants
Application Available Aug. 1
Early App Deadline (nonbinding) Nov. 1
Final Application Deadline June 1
Enrollment Begins (3) July 2025
  • International Applicants
Application Available Aug. 1
Early App Deadline (nonbinding) Nov. 1
International Leaders Program Deadline April 1
Final App Deadline (outside US) April 1
Final App Deadline (in US) May 1
Enrollment Begins (3) July 2025

Tuition is currently $51,944 (as of 10/14/24). Minimal increase from when I last posted on the program. All program applications received by the scholarship deadline are automatically considered for general scholarship awards.

Miscellaneous

Career Pathways

  • I am not sure if I mentioned this previously or if this is something new, but the Wake Forest MiM program offers students three specialized pathways: Business Enterprise, Marketing and Healthcare. Love the ability to focus your education, especially if you go into this degree with a clear idea of your career post-graduation.

Dual Degree

  • Wake Forest offers two dual degree options – the MSBA/MSM – ideal for international students and the MSM/PA for those who want a business education as well as train to become a Physician Assistant.

Upcoming Events

  • The university has a number of upcoming events as well as college visits. Plenty of opportunity for you to meet with and discuss the program with admissions. They also offer a number of online GRE/GMAT prep sessions. Very helpful!

That is the update for now. There should be new placement information relatively soon. I’ll make sure to keep checking back as the last report I saw was very good. Would love to see how they continue to build on this.
