Been a little bit since I posted an update on the Georgetown University Masters in Finance program and I thought it was due for an update. The program is currently recruiting for the Summer 2024 program start as well. Check out the update below and stay tuned for more.
Admissions
Below is the current application deadline schedule. As you can see, round 1 is coming up in about a week or so. Anyone interested in staring this program in the summer has plenty of time to get in an early application. My general advice is the earlier the better as more scholarship funds are available. Will make it easier to start networking and preparing for upcoming classes the earlier you find out you are admitted as well.
Application Deadline | Decision Notification by | Start Date
Round 1 | 10/6/2023 | 11/3/2023 | Mid-August 2024 |
Round 2 | 11/17/2023 | 12/22/2023
Round 3 | 2/2/2024 | 3/1/2024
Round 4 | 3/15/2024 | 4/12/2024
Round 5 | 5/3/2024 | 6/7/2024
Round 6 | 6/7/2024 | 6/28/2024 |
Class Profile
I mentioned this in my last post and while I eagerly await an updated class profile, this one should do. This is the Georgetown Class of 2022 profile and I would imagine the 2023 will look very similar.
- Average Years Work Experience – 5 years
- Class Size – 174 students
- GMAT Average – 692
- 20-80% – 640 – 720
- GPA Average – 3.3
- 20-80% – 3.0 – 3.7
- Diversity – 34%
- Female – 30%
The program has a variety of undergraduate majors so those who have a non-business background will not feel out of place. Also, while a number of students in this MSF will have significant work experience, there are plenty of fresh out of undergraduates studying for this masters.
