It has been a while since I last posted about the University of Notre Dame MSF program and there have be a number of changes and some things I think any of you interested in the program should be aware of. I am working on getting a student review from someone who has recently completed the program as well. Stay tuned for more.
Scholarships
The Notre Dame MSF offers a number of financial scholarships for qualified students. This is very generous for a professional, part-time program.
Fellowship awards are based on both the students need and merit. Those who receive award based scholarships must maintain a cumulative 3.25 GPA. There are nothing additional that applicants must do to be considered as all applicants are automatically considered for the following fellowship opportunities:
- Non-Profit Leadership Award: Fellowship offered to one student who leads in a non-profit organization
- Mendoza Dean’s Fellowships: Merit-based awards for students based on a variety of criteria including academic performance, business experience, leadership potential and unique contributions to the MSF class.
The John Cardinal O’Hara Fellowship Award are available to applicants through a separate process. These fellowships are awarded based on need and merit and range from $2,500 to $15,000.
Tuition
Tuition is now $59,214 for the 11 month program. This has increased since I first reported, but the nice aspect of this is it reduces budgeting complexity. This cost includes all materials, costs associated with the immersion weeks in South Bend, as well as food on class days.
Admissions Calendar
This years application process is closed for now (mid-October being the third round cutoff) as classes start in January 2017. I would encourage anyone particularly interested in getting in for this upcoming class to reach out to admissions. There might be an opportunity for you to still get in assuming your application is in order and strong.
GMAT/GRE
Admissions reserves the right to ask for this, but it is not mandatory. This is great for anyone with good work experience who is looking to save time and money by not having to take this test.
