It has been a couple of years since I last wrote an update on the Emory University Master in Finance program and there have been some great updates. This was a newer program that I came across and it looks like it has been performing very well. Emory is a top university in the country so it is great to see a specialized masters options being offered here.
2023 Employment Report
The program boasts an impressive 97% placement rate within 6 months of graduation for the class of 2023 with a median base salary of $74,000 for students with minimal work experience. Those who had between 1-3 years of work experience coming out of the program had a $82,500 median base salary. The majority (52%) found employment in the South East, which make sense with the location of the university, but the rest of the graduates went to work elsewhere, showing that this degree can be useful wherever you want to live and work when you are done.

Admissions
Application process hasn’t changed since I last wrote about it and is pretty standard. GMAT/GRE is still required and the waiver requirements are still unchanged.
Tuition for the program is currently $75,700. This has increased slightly since my first post on the program and is in line with what I am seeing at similar ranked universities. There are scholarships available to help reduce this cost and I always encourage anyone considering a graduate degree to reach out to admissions and see ways they can help reduce the total cost.
The first two rounds have come and gone, but anyone interested still has two more application windows coming up.
- Round 3 – March 26th
- Round 4 – May 7th
Miscellaneous
Emory has a page with student profiles that I thought was very interesting. It includes quotes from them and some have placement results. You can read them all here. They also have a student blog section that includes advice, Atlanta related information and student spotlights – basically an interview with a current student or recent graduate.
There are also a number of upcoming events for the MSF. I always encourage students to sign up and attend these. Both informative and indicate interest in the program for admissions staff. A number of them are coming up in January and the events page will be continually update as new ones are scheduled.

That is the update for now. I will try and follow this program more closely as their success so far has been outstanding. I love Atlanta and it is a great place to live, work and go to school.
