Georgia State University Logo

It has been a while since I checked in on the Georgia State University MSF program. Looks like they have updated placements which look very good and a couple other things I wanted to make all of you aware of. Enjoy the update and stay tuned for more.

2023 Placement Report

I love seeing placement reports as most students go into a specialize masters with the goal of changing careers or starting their career. Let me lay out some data points on this report and I will give my thoughts after.

  • 88.5% Employed within 3 months
  • $80,077 Average Salary
  • 49% Average Salary Increase

Employment is pretty solid within 3 months. I would be curious what this looks like at the 6 month mark. A lot of students are currently employed so the 49% increase in salary is a great indicator.

Here is a list of hiring firms:

Base Brands

Censeo Advisors

Equitable Advisors

Focus Brands

Georgia Tech Foundation

Level 5 Capital Partners

Meridian Inventory

Metric Financial

Novogradac & Company LLP

Sofer Advisors

Synpulse USA Inc

Wells Fargo

Lots of well known firms on this list and this should give you a good idea of the local market as well as who is coming on campus. Also a good place to reach out to alumni and network.

There are a couple of upcoming admissions deadlines for this current application cycle. The first two rounds have passed, but you still have 3 to go.

  • Round 3 – March 18th
  • Round 4 – May 6th
  • Round 5 – Rolling

International applicants should get their application in by Round 3.

  • Georgia residents: $37,500
  • Non-Georgia residents: $43,500

That is the update for now. Solid placements, affordable tuition, and a campus located in Buckhead. Definitely a program you should consider if you are looking to work/live in Atlanta or the Southeast.
