Indiana University Masters in Management

The Indiana University Masters in Management program is another specialized masters that I came across and think you might have interest in. IU has done a great job with placements and it is one of the best state schools in the Midwest (as well as the country). This looks like a great program and I am always excited to add another program to the site.

Overview

This is a 10 or 12 month, 36 credit hour program (for business undergraduates it is 30 credit hours) offered in person on the Bloomington campus. Please note that this is not STEM certified at this point in time. This program starts every year in the summer and offers students three customizable paths: Strategy, Leadership and Human Resources and Entrepreneurship.

The program is designed for non-business graduates who have finished their undergraduate education within the last two years. You can customize your degree with a variety of elective classes and there are two practicums, one in the beginning and one at the end, which give students real world experience during their studies.

For students who are interested in consulting and a global experience, IU offers Masters in Management students the Global Business and Social Enterprise (GLOBASE) consulting project. This is a separate application process so you need to apply specifically for this, but you can participate in a consulting project with both MiM and MBA students in a number of international locations. Pretty cool.

Tuition is split between Indiana residents and non-residents as well as if you need classes on business foundations or not.

    • $26,466.90 (without X 545)
  • Non-Residents

There are a number of graduate assistantships, merit scholarships and other ways to help reduce the cost of attendance.

I will keep on top of this program as I am sure there will be plenty of interest. Indiana has set up a nice program with a lot of flexibility and practical education. I’ll be on the look out for a career report once it comes out as well.
