University of Texas MSF Update – April 2025

The University of Texas MSF continues to be one of the best in the country and I recently checked out their site and saw a number of updates that I thought made sense to bring front and center for all of you. If you are looking to have a career in Texas or anywhere else, this should be on the top of your list.

MSF Class Of 2025

I’ve been posting the class profile for this MSF since the program began listing their profile and UT has been maintained class quality while keeping scores high. I’ll lay out this current profile and include some commentary comparing it to last years profile.

  • Class Size – 73 Students
  • Average GMAT – 675
  • Average GRE – 324
  • Male / Female – 67% / 33%
  • Texas / Non Texas Residents – 80% / 20%

Class size has increased by 7 students while the GMAT average has remained consistent. The program is slightly more male heavy, but this is only incremental. Nice to see a program consistently recruiting women for over a third of their class. The program remains heavy on Texas residents, but this is going to be a function of the discount in tuition that Texans receive.

2024 Career Outcomes

  • Placements within 6 months of graduation – 93.4%
  • Average Base Salary – $81,227
    • Range – $58,000 – $110,000
  • Average Signing Bonus – $6,600

Geographically, placements were primarily in Texas (86%). The remainder of students found jobs in the Northeast (4%), Mid-Atlantic (4%) and South (4%).

Selected Employers:

  • Tesla
  • Diageo
  • Deloitte
  • Truist
  • EY
  • Exxon Mobil
  • RBC Capital Markets
  • Alverez & Marsal
  • Lockhead Martin
  • Dell
  • Global Foundries

Admissions

If you are interested in this program you have one final round to apply to – May 6th. Current tuition is split for Texas and Non-Texas Residents – $50,500 and $55,500. Please remember, this program is for non-finance undergrads so if you have a liberal arts degree, STEM or business/economics/accounting degree you are allowed to apply. The application process is fairly straight forward and GMAT/GRE are option for this program.

Glad I checked out the program as there was a lot of great, new information. Placements continue to look great and wonderful to see this MSF maintaining standards while increasing the size of the class.
