Financial Times 2011 Master in Finance Ranking

Finally, a major publication has recognized and ranked the Master in Finance program. The criteria for this inaugural ranking excluded most MSF programs in the US, but still, now that the FT is on board it will only be a matter of time before the other publications start paying attention to the degree.

The Financial Times divides programs by experience levels of the students (pre and post experience) which makes sense since the master in finance is the main degree sought after by students in the UK/Europe. In the US most programs (Princeton and MIT excluded) tend to only have students with minimal work experience.

Tulane, IIT, WUSTL and Brandeis all round out the top programs for the US. In the next few years more programs will become eligible for ranking.
