It has been a while since I last posted about the Tulane University Masters in Finance program. Was checking the site the other day and it looks like there is a bunch to update all of you on. I have recent placements as well as a class profile, among other things. This program has been around for a long time now and has done well with placements and run a very nice program.
Class Profile
The below information is off their 2025 placement report so I am going to assume it reflects the 2024-2025 class.
- Class Size – 16 Students
- Average Work Experience – < 1 year
- Average GPA – 3.2
- Average GMAT – 630
- Average GRE Quant Score – 164
- Male / Female – 69% / 31%
I haven’t posted an updated class profile in a while, but it looks like this programs class size has shrunk to something much more manageable (the last class profile I posted back in 2019 had a class size of 136 students). Averages look good and in line with comparable programs.

Admissions
Right now applications are received and reviewed on a rolling basis. The application process is pretty efficient – resume, one essay, one reference and your transcripts. Total tuition is $65,070. It does mention a number of scholarships. I would strongly encourage all of you to inquire about any financial aid of scholarship money available.

I will reach out to the university as it seems like the program has evolved some since I last posted about it. They also have a masters in energy program since they have some much connectivity to the energy industry in Louisiana and Houston.
